
Call for nominations 2023-2024: New Allen Schultz – Hatch scholarships
Encourage industrial research in the aluminum, the magnesium, and the applied electrometallurgy
Scholarship objective
In the decarbonization of metal production context, encourage research rooted in industrial applications of aluminum or magnesium production, or in emerging electrometallurgical processes, and to enable the chosen person to benefit from Hatch’s experience and expertise in these fields.
To honor the memory of Allen Schultz, former Director of Light Metals at Hatch, his wife Jan Guy, owner of AMACOR, offers a scholarship of CAN$ 10,000 to a graduate student (Ph.D. and M.Sc.
with thesis) in industrial aluminum, magnesium production or electrometallurgy. In addition, Hatch offers a paid internship of at least 3 months to the chosen candidate.
