FORMATEURS
Knut Marthinsen, Professor | NTNU Norwegian University of Science and Technology
Professor Marthinsen has been a professor at the Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering at NTNU since 1998. He was the Deputy Head of the department in 2005-2009, and acting Head of Department for 9 months in 2011. His reserach interests include quantitative electron diffraction and microscopy as well as characterization and modelling of materials nano-/microstructure and its relation to material properties. Current research activities are mainly related to the development and application of physically based computer models for the evolution of microstructure and texture during thermomechanical processing of aluminium alloys, including models for precipitation, work hardening, recrystallization and grain growth.
